Hi all, We are going to put out baby under wraps for a few mo, because of work(not griping glad to have it).I have not let one set like this before.I know to fuel up ,wash, wax cover,. The question is about oil change, filters (air and fuel) I change every year, but do I change now or when I get ready to go.If I change oil now do I need to start it up?
Thanks---cold drinks---warm fires---Bill&Juanita

My Freightliner Manual says:

1: Change the oil before storing and check levels when put back in service.
2: Fille the fuel tank.
3: Service air cleaner.
4: Check Cooling system for antifreeze.
5: Remove and clean Batterys. Store them in a cool dry place and keep it charged.
6: Cove exterior.
7: Lubricate all grease fittings.
8: Clean and wax exterior before covering.

I am in WI and mine went into storage last month. Every year before putting way
:( I have oil changed in engine and gen set all filters changed out and greased. Winterize the water lines and clean in and out as best I can.
I keep a charger on the batteries and keep the house plugged in to charge the house batteries. I clean out as much as I can, want to keep mice out, I use bouce fabric sheets (seems to work for me so far)
Every month I start the engine and if roads are clear of salt drive. Start the gen and let it run for a while.
Good luck

I also add anti gel to the fuel tank before filling the tank.
