Safari Cheetah 2006 40 SFD RR8R

Hi all. We are looking to get a new to us Coach and we spent time in Tucson looking at both gassers and DP. We drove a Monaco monarch and also looked at the Safari Cheeth. We have a SOB 34' gasser. The Monarch was the same size as the one we have. The Cheetah was a 40'. For you all that have that size and brand can you give us some insight as to how you like it and what to look for? We are retired but not fulltimes as we have a home here in Arizona. We just came off a trip to NY and Back and were gone for more then 3 months. Thanks for your Help.

We're very happy with our 2006 Safari Cheetah. We've had it more than two years and have been full-timing for the last year and a bit. The floor plan works very well for us. I like the size and quality of the technical systems (water tanks, propane tank, AC/heat pumps, inverter, power management system, leveling jacks, Onan 8k, etc). We like the quality of the finish-out, inside and out. Our coach is built on the RR4R chassis so I had to change the trailing arms to the Source Engineering ones after I bought the coach used in 2010. My experience with my RR4R chassis after ~15K miles of driving is that it's been very easy to drive and has no wandering, handling or bouncing issues (many threads here discuss these handling issues at length).

Hope this helps. Good luck with your decision.
