Jack stand "tonnage" is for both. The 7 ton set is probably not nearly enough for the rear axle which is normally in the 10-11 ton area......

Good jack stands are rated for "each". I use 12 Ton units, I would not buy cheap stands. I bought ones made for OTC but offshore. Very heavy and good quality. Try one one of the online tool sales sites. Be aware that you will probably need to lift your MH fairly high to get the stands under the frame. Do not crawl under your unit with only the levelling jacks for support. Use a hydraulic jack as well. In my shop I use an air over hydraulic jack. Sometimes helps to drive onto 2 by 10's first.

Be aware that many (most) of those kinds of products that Northern Tool, Harbor Freight, Costco, Sam's and similar sells are Chinese made. While many of these Chinese made tools have a bad rap, they have earned it in failures. The quality control processes they build to are virtually non existent. I would try locally or somewhere you can actually look at the jack stands you need - we don't need to see your name 'in memorium'.

Thanks for that info. Since I have no leveling jacks (air leveling only), I would need to drive up on 2 x's to get high enough to put the jacks under frame while aired up. Guess I need to go to storage and air up on 2x's and measure my height to determine range of jack stands. I have decent room to work when on 2x's and aired up but want to be sure that jacks will fit under at that setup. I will be changing oil, filters, lube on driveshaft and other lube points. One other question. If I place jacks under rear frame while aired up and I am working underneath rear only, is there a need to place another set of jacks under front of coach frame in case there is sudden loss of air?

Barlow be sure to use 2x12 and double 2x12 on the rear just going on one 2x4 can create a problem with part of one tire supporting the total weight, my brothenlaw a few yrs ago had 3 or 4 blow outs always on the rear in the first 2 yrs of owning his class C coach with no jacks until we finally DU figured out that leveling on one 2x12 in the rear was the culprit as it wont support both tires. If you were aware of this then please disregard my post.

Thanks Walt...good reminder. Yes, was aware of having supports under all wheels/tires and not just inner or outer on dually. Also, made sure entire tire footprint was supported on 2x's.

Pleasekeep in mind that if the rear wheels are off the ground (or boards) you have no park brake. If that is the case make sure you block the front wheels.

Thanks. I always block even if they are on the ground...just an old habit. I am just looking for working room to get my 6' 230 lb frame comfortably under the frame without worrying about an air leak. I never go under any vehicle off the ground without a safety jack stand. I had a close friend doing an oil change on his car with just a car jack holding it up. If fell when he tried to break loose the oil drain bolt. His wife was able to get the jack back underneath and raise it enough to save him but a stroke resulted a few days later and he was never the same. Hard lesson to learn at 48 and he knew better.

Barlow has air leveling and just wanted to get more room for him to be able to slide under the coach not jack the rear wheels off the ground.

Barlow: The web site says pair but that refers to how they are sold. Before I bought mine I called OTC and they definitely told me it was 12 tons each . These are monster stands. Very heavy.
