Samsung RF197 Service Manual

Has anybody found the Service manual on line?

Of course, I have the User Manual and The Quick Guide.

Dave,

I have two additional PDF files besides the Owners Manual & Quick Start Guide. One is a Parts List with Exploded Views and the other is the Disassenbly & Reassembly Guide.

I have not been able to locate a service manual.

Send me a PM with your email and I'll get them to you.

Nothing on that list resembles a RF197 Fridge.

My actual model number is RF197ACPB/XAA.

Dave,

When I just tried a global search for a service manual, I was able to find one available from Samsung for $12. It looks like it's an electronic version.

Thanks, Richard. I see that it is $12.00 plus $8.25 or more for shipping. They apparently ship it on a USB device.

My model is RF197ACRS, for what it's worth.

Your fridge must be the Stainless Door unit. Mine is the all black version.

Absolutely LOVE the fridge. By far the very BEST modification I have had done to the coach EVER. It improved our full-time living by 1000% versus trying to get by with the POS NotSoCold.

What is your reason for needing the service manual?

They are not given out normally to the public.

I'd like the manual also. Would like to disconnect the electric defrost for boondocking. 170 watts when running but 560 watts when on defrost once/day.

Would be nice if someone would do a reversing valve like a heat pump on a refer and you would only have the normal load plus quicker defrost.

Heater are normally on between 8-12 min in the defrost cycle. You could install a switch on the heater wires to stop the heater from working, after a few days to two weeks the evp-coils will load up with ice and the fresh food compartment will stop cooling and the freezer part will warm up.

Sorry to be a little off-topic but since you guys seem to have knowledge of the Samsung refrigerator I will ask here. I presently have the upper doors held together with the Sagatsune HC-85 latch using the 3m tape. I read a post where someone ruined there unit (not sure if Samsung) by hitting a cooling tube when drilling. I saw a drawing somewhere that to me looked like there was not anything in the doors to worry about hitting. Did I understand it right? I presently have the latch halfway between the top of the handles and the top of the fridge, sort of at eye-level, if that matters. Thanks
