??? SaniCon Fuse Location ??? 05 Camelot 40'

Hi All,

Sofi has been warning of the need to upgrade the SaniCon system to a newer 600 model. A turbo 600S came up on Ebay, we got it, so I need to switch the SaniCon out.

Sofi tells me that the 600S is a 1/2hp motor, and our current SaniCon is a 1/4hp motor

THUS...

I'm thinking the fuse likely needs an upgrade also.

I looked in the fuse box under the driver seat exterior, no luck in finding the SaniCaon fuse

??? WHERE IS THE SANICON FUSE LOCATED ???

??? SaniCon Fuse Location ??? 05 Camelot 40'

!!! Thanks in advance !!!

Try the rear box. I believe that is where the schematics show ours is. I'll have to check it this weekend when I get back home. I'll try and post a picture when I get back to the computer.

BobnSofi-

It may be a circuit breaker, instead of a fuse. On our coach (which may bear no resemblance to yours in this regard), the breaker is attached to a bus bar immediately downstream of the house battery cutoff switch and its 12V breaker.

As mentioned, in the rear run box. It looks like this. Tiny little re-set circuit breaker button at one end.

I think you will have to abandon the original SaniCon wiring. The new unit will need #8 or #10 wire, depending on the length and a 35 amp inline fuse which is included. I installed one a few months ago and abandoned the wiring for heavier gauge wire.

https://www.thetford.com/product/sani-con-turbo-600s/ see page 4, figure 3.

Ah, so you're that guy that bought that out from under me!
I was watching it, hadn't decided to buy it or not. My concern was the lack of an 'S' on the box - it shows it as a 600 not a 600S. I wondered if it was not a current model, having been replaced by the 600S. I was researching and couldn't find where Thetford had ever made a 600, so I'd about decided it was a current model. When I went back to the auction it was sold (sigh). Thanks for the link to the current one he's got for sale.
