Sixpack98 -- I removed that piece of plastic panel when I first got the MH -- It was in the way-- Take out a coulpe of screws, & its gone -- As you can see, with it removed, there is plenty of room to lay the hose in the bay - I also did away with the factory "business end" & made my own -- Bill Willard

Thanks Bill, the panel is in the way and I will remove it as well and it looks like the hose will stow nicely to the right of the SaniCon.
BTW, got all the piece together to test the PacBrake and will probably test late this next week. Really appreciate your tutorage.

William Willard .. Why did you make a new business end ? I bet it was to do away with the angle the hose sits at? If so... How did you make it..

UPS 34 -- There is a thread on this forum that has a picture of the "Business End" that I made -- Maybe someone can direct you to it -- MonacoMama wanted me to list the parts used, but I never got around to it -- But it was to get rid of that angle -- Bill Willard

I hope this works. But the pictures show how Monaco installed a twist-on Sani-Con system and the aluminum bracket that connects the Sani-Con to the MH for a stronger, more permanent installation.
PS... It is late, we just got home from my sons football game. We won, YEA!!!

HONEY WAGON ACCESS
After dry camping at the Balloon Fiesta for the last four days, I've had second thoughts about incorporating WW's Sanicon Mod.
When "Honey Wagon" service is needed, the truck needs to attach their 3" hose to the 3" adapter where both tank valves come together by removing the 3" hose to the Sanicon. If that adapter is swung around to the back it would be more difficult or impossible for them to access.
Also, while using the Sanicon this morning, I was reminded that the 1" flexible hose knots up when the pump is on creating worse than the 90 degree up hill pvc adapter.
Not meaning to take away from WW's clever mod, but I'll probably hold off on the mod for now.

Well, I just finished changing my Sanicon hose to get rid of that smell. While I was at it, I relocated the pump with the screw hole forward and flipped the connector to the rear like Bill's. I also removed the 90 degree fitting. Now I have the pump lower than the 4" connector. If need be, I can reach in, disconnect the Sanicon hose, and rotate the connector back to the front. It swivels pretty easily. I'm headed to San Diego in the morning for 5 days. I'll see if it empties any quicker now.

After reading posts on Mr. Willard's idea to change the direction, I thought I would do the same.
(1) Removed sanicon system.
(2) Moved bay heater from center bay to left side for clearance.
(3) Replace 90 fitting with 1"INS x 1"INS x 1/2"FIP tee and 1/2"x1/4"PVC thrd. bushing.
(4) Replace 3" hose. Replaced rubber ring with double back tape for better fit of hose.
Parts cost $3.03

I replumbed my sanicon to reroute the new 3" hose toward the back of the cabinet. My plumbing is different on our '06 Endeavor. I had to move the cargo heater and now one of the Valterra valves is about 2" or so from the cargo heater. Will this pose a problem wrt heat and melting the valve?

I believe that when you consider the temps that the bay heater operates, you could almost be certain that with the cool temp outside and the low amount that the heater puts out you would safe. Please post a picture, so we can see your set up.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content">Great tip and write up on the re-plumbing and installing a triple wrap hose to eliminate the smell. I'd bet I've looked a dozen or so times for a leak. Doh, never thought about the 3" SaniCon hose being permeable. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
Thanks to all for suggesting the Triple Wrap Hose to replace the permeated black stock Sani-Con 3" hose. I finally got around to re-plumbing and it works fine. A few questions: 1. It seems that over time the hose clamp will pinch through the triple wrap fabric..? 2.Did you retain the elastic rubber bands..?3. Over time has the triple-wrap stated to pass off oders..?

We used double backed adhesive tape because the rubber ring was to large to get the 3" hose over. Also the adhesive held the new hose more firmly than the old rubber band. So far no issues with new setup and seems to drain faster.
PS: Maybe we will see you guys at Quartzite.

Mike,
What kind of double backed adhesive did you use? I was able to get the 3" triple ply hose over the "rubber bands" but sure don't have a great deal of confidence with that solution. Another poster asked if the SS hose clamp would damage the hose and I think he has cause for concern. Doing some research on how to make sure this does not turn into a can of worms.
