Another newbie question: is there recommendation on how frequently the fresh water tank in a coach should be sanitized? And, what's the recommended procedure?

My owners manual (1999 Diplomat DP) suggests yearly, but I think that would depend alot on each individuals use and circumstances.

Hooter G.....I've been RVing for 30 years now and have never sanitized a tank. A good point that was brought up a while back was where you get your water. I have City water that is heavily treated/chlorinated. I rarely fill from anywhere but my home. If you get water from a well, you might want to sanitize or treat it.

I've NEVER heard of anyone I know or even on this website having trouble with their water.

HooterG...
Sacs said we used to do the Bounders once a year - but we have had the Diplomat over 2 years now - and have yet to do it...
Part of the reason could be that I was living in it for over a year - so water was always moving...

MM

PS..HooterG...can I add some Monaco Karma yet...pretty please??
