Satellite Antenna Dome

I have a Motostat Nomad 2 Satellite on my Diplomat. Looking for a Satellite Dish Dome cover. Have tried online search to discover that Motosat is no longer. Tuners and service still available but can't find a dome. Any information welcome.

I don't think you will find any. The only reason for a dome is to use it for in-motion and I don't think that dish is designed to make moment-to-moment adjustments needed for in-motion operation. For normal operation they are built to take all the weather that you will encounter when parked.

It would be interesting to know why you think you need a dome for that dish.

Satellite Antenna Dome

I guess I was just using the logic that it appeared the manufacturer went to to some trouble to fully enclose this dish. When I look into the apparatus
I see exposed wires, gears and actuators that it appears to me might need to be kept from accumulation of dirt and debri. The dish itself is unprotected aluminum. Just seems to make sense that it was meant to be covered. Can't say I agree with the notion that it's designed to take the elements. I have had such designed dishes on my other rigs.

Thanks for responding

I think we may have a failure of communication here. When you use the term "dome" I envision a cover that goes over all the components and covers a dish in it's upright position. From your second post you make it sound like you are looking for a cover for the motor mechanism. I would imagine that there are some spares in RV salvage yards.

Motosat has been out of business long enough that any cover he finds in an RV-salvage yard will be sun damaged.

I understand what he is saying perfectly, They made domes that were designed for stationary use Motosat's domes were the best. But they went out of business, a Company called RF-Mogul (Best I can spell it) sells parts and service for SELECTED motosat products but I do not think your product is on that list.
