This scoop is on a Dynasty, & was installed by RV Renovators, in Mesa AZ at a cost of $600.00 -- A lot of the cost is from the painting & mounting --- The owner states that he`s getting another 1 to 2 mpg with the scoop -- Anyone else seen this add on ? Bill Willard

That's really neat, I was thinking about doing that on my National Islander, mine is on the side

I don't see how this can make a difference on a turbo charged engine. I'm skeptical of the 1 to 2 mpg increase.

Just how much rain will get in with this addition vs. the original opening?

Bill,

Did you really post that picture? Or, was someone at your place helping you?

Actually, I'm impressed. Nice job.

I dont see the 1-2mpg either... maybe some improvement in the ease of air flow, but nothing that would increase mpg.

Happycarz -- No one else here at the home helped me, they`re all older, & not near as nerdy as I am --
The scoop looks good, but I think I can make one for twice that price -- Bill Willard

Bill the older Monacos had the air scoop on the roof only problem with that was in the heavy snow areas it would fill with snow and get the filter wet, I would also doubt the 1 to 2 mpg increase but it is a nice looking scoop.

I have a 42ft Camelot, & don`t need any better mpg than I get now, so I would have no use for the scoop, or any other device that claims to increase fuel mileage -- I was just wondering if this is something new on the market, or if RV Renovators took this guy for a ride -- Looks like the latter to me -- Bill Willard
