Has anyone used some side view cameras to rig a security camera system? I have thoughts of putting a couple up high in the front on the exterior and running a monitor back to the bedroom.

If you have any experience in this, I'll be entering uncharted territories!

Thanks,

I have side view cameras that hang under my rear view mirrors that came with the mh from Monaco. They are used to look down the side when I turn on the turn indicators but I get more use out of them as security cameras when parked at Walmart or roadside rest areas. I have a small monitor beside my bed and if I hear something I can check the rear and side cameras. If dark I turn on my docking lights. The front right camera also shows anyone knocking at the door. The cameras look OK mounted as part of the mirrors. If see somebody I hit my air horns and scare them to death. If that doesn't work then I consult with my brother Glock

Bud.......a lot of the new coaches come with what you want to do as standard equipment, using the side view cameras. The systems are there... The hot set up would be to find a stand alone 12 volt system.

Bud you might be interested in the attached. The company that makes my mirrors with the attched cameras also make a fixed side mount camera in a fairing. They state it is a low light camera and 12 v powered. I have the V-MAX mirror camera.
