Security safe installation?

While my coach is away at the service center, I have been thinking about several possible projects for it. One of which is installing a safe. Has anybody installed one? If so, what location?

I have seen a few new coaches with them in the back wall of the closet; which I really like. Not sure what I might be facing framing wise back there.

Coach better get back soon....my list is growing.

In my model Signature the safe is located under the bed.

Wherever you put it be sure it's bolted/welded to a good framework and not just screwed to some wood.

Under the bed would be ideal, but the box under the bed slide on the carpet in the room.

When I get it back, I will do some looking at the closet more.

On a previous coach, ours was tucked under the captain chair and covered by the chair-skirt. It was also semi-recessed into the floor under the chair, so as to be almost invisible - it looked like part of the chair mechanism.
Cleaning the carpet for the first time is when I noticed it. Asked the dealer about it and he said: "Safe? What safe?" He'd been selling that model for several years, and I was evidently the first one to discover it. It was never mentioned in any of the literature, either. The downside is that the key was the round almost-universal "RV Key" that opens everything.

My point is that I know you're quite handy, Jake, and thought this might be a good DIY location to consider.

I already built mine in another place on this coach, but if I was to tell you where it was, then I'd have to....

...have to... LOL

I like the under chair idea. Will investigate further.
