Sewer Odor in 2001 Dynasty

We purchased our 2001 Monaco Dynasty and on our first move (after living in it for a month) we were overcome by a sewer smell while on the road. I checked for a studer vent (or back flow preventer) which I did not find. Today, hooked up again in a park, we put on the ceiling vent fan and the odor was again drawn into the coach.
Any ideas on where it might be coming from? ....although I definitely think it is gray water smell not black. It is very pronounced under the galley sink and toilet area with less under the opposite bathroom sink.
Any input would be helpful.

If you have a washer/dryer, check the drain filter on the bottom right corner. Ours had not been cleaned when we purchased our 2001 Dynasty.

Is the toilet holding water? If not, it may need a new seal set. Mine had similar problems until I dealt with the toilet.

Each drain (sinks, washer/dryer) have an air admittance vent in the plumbing.
Shop Keeney Mfg. Co. 1-1/2-in Plastic Mechanical Plumbing Air Admittance Vent at Lowes.com

They have been known to fail. While you drive the negative pressure in the cabin pulls the sewer gas up through these valves.

Don't know of a way to check. You could try putting a small plastic bag over each vent to see if that fixes it, possibly one at a time to narrow down the culprit.

Look under your sinks and see if you see something like this
They are a air admittance valve, yours might just be going bad/shot due to their age. Home Depot and Lowes carry them.

it may very well be the gray tank,i would flush both tanks then add a double dose of toilet chemicals to both and see if that fixes it.

I used a vacuum cleaners blow end and put it up near my roof stack and blew in gently.
You don't want much pressure as too much will blow out your traps. while some one is
blowing pressure slowly in to the stack go around and see where the smell is coming from. That's how I found my smell. It was coming around the washer drain stack where the hose from the washer went. If your system is good you will not get any smell.

Back to your washing machine if you have one. If you don't use the washing machine then the drain trap dries out and you get sewer gas. I have a tune and funnel attached to mine so I can add water on a routine basis.

When we bought our 2001 Dynasty in 2006 we tried everything imaginable to reduce the odors. no wonder the previous owner traded it in. Out of desperation I decided to replace the vent caps for both the black and grey tanks. I was surprised to find that neither vent pipe was caulked where it went through the roof. Problem solved.

We had the same issue with our 2000 when we bought it. At first it was just faint, but over a few months it got worse. Replacing the caps under the kitchen and bathroom sinks did the trick

Thanks for all the suggestions. We found the air valve behind a bulkhead and are in the process of replacing three of them. Both sinks and shower. Hopefully that solves the problem. Should know tomorrow.

Jeff, I meant tube but my iPad thought it knew better. Just got a tube attached to a small funnel that sticks down the drain pipe and I pour water in every so often rather than run that silly washing machine
