Planning to change front shocks on my 07 HR Endeavor. Looks like a fairly easy job. Am I correct? Bottom bolt on each shock should be easy but the top one could be difficult due to having to reach up so far to loosen it. Any tips would be greatly appreciated. By the way, new to the site and I really see a wealth of knowledge to be gained.

Gregk,
Welcome to IRV2. You'll find this a great community to belong to. The advice is great and the people are super.
If you search "shocks" or "Bilsteins" or "Koni's" in the Monaco Owner's forum, you'll find some really good information regarding changing out your shocks on your RR8R chassis. Having said that, I can say from personal experience that you're right on target about the swap being straight forward and also that the top bolts are a pain to remove, but not at all impossible (just watch the knuckles!!)

Greg....Turn the wheel all the way to the right and you'll be able to easily access one shock on each side. Turn the wheel the other way and do the other two. Air tools cut the job down to just a few minutes. Koni was the the way to go, but Bilstein came out with some new socks in the past few months. You should probably look at both. Shop around, the prices can be all over the placwe. Some of the best deals were found at Koni Shocks | Koni Suspension Products | Low Prices on Koni Shocks

Greg, go to an autoparts store like Pep Boys or Auto Zone and by some Mechanix gloves. They will save you hands. I prefer the M-Pact version with the extra padding on the knuckles.

Automotive : Mechanix Wear

Greg,
If you plan on doing the job yourself I hope that you are of small build and very agile. I enlisted the aid of my 2 young grandsons to get those top nuts off. The most difficult top nut is the one in back of the front tire on the drivers side. There is no room to attach a wrench. I had to use vise grips on the nut and spin the shock to remove and install it.
