Ok...finally warm enough here that I de-winterized the new-to-us Baby Simba. Put about 15 gallons on the tank with a cup of bleach....used the on-board pump to bleed all the lines of the pink stuff, then filled the hot water tank...bled it. Drained everything again including HW tank....filled everything again and bled with clean water. Everything pressures up...holds...seems OK....BUT: when I run the shower water sprays everywhere where the hose hooks under the knob controls. Doesn't appear to be cracked. There's a little hole on the top of the plastic fitting (which is under the knobs pointing down) and I think the water is pressuring up in the shower head line and blowing back through this little hole. Is this possible? Or do I have crack somewhere? There is a rubber washer in the hose fitting...I took it off and re-tightened it. Any thoughts?

OK...did a search and fount that this part might be a "mixer" to mix the hot and cold and to allow the show head to drain back when the water is shut off. When I unscrewed the hose, a fingernail shaped piece of rubber appeared on the shower floor....since I never saw where it came from, I set it aside. Maybe this goes in there somewhere?

Dave I think that piece of rubber is just part of what you should have on the hose end. There should be a rubber washer to seal the fitting. Sort of like the washer on a garden hose end, but way smaller.

The rubber washer is still in there. A half-moon shaped rubber flap fell out from somewhere....

Seems like every time I de-winterize our coach there is something that did not like drying out. This year it was the toilet. Sounds like you may be experiencing the same thing with the shower. I would try to find a parts break down for the faucet and seem if you can identify the rubber flap. I once had a truck camper that the shower did the same thing. Water would come from a small hole and I was not able to fix the faucet and replaced it.
Good luck,
Bob

Well, I put myself in the uncomfortable position of laying in the shower to be able too see inside the hose fitting....I see where the little thumbnail flap of rubber goes. So I stuck it back in....still sprays all over the place. I think there's a piece missing that should hold this little valve higher in the fitting. Anyways....I just removed it, then screwed in a tiny stainless steel screw into the bypass hole and plugged it off. All works fine now....but I guess the shower line won't backdrain anymore....Oh well.
