Shower Valve Access Door???

I have been replacing all the old gold knobs, hinges, and fixtures with brushed nickel. The only thing left is the shower enclosure frame and shower valve. I can't seem to find an access panel to get behind the shower enclosure where the shower valve is. Does anyone with my model/floor plan know how to get back there?

I am assuming you have a single lever/knob shower valve. If that is true then there is no valve access panel. The valve is accessed by removing the knob and escutcheon. To remove, pry the small center cap off the knob/handle. There should be a Phillips head screw, remove the screw and the knob/handle should slide off. You should see 1 or 2 screws holding the escutcheon on, it should slide off also. Take it to your favorite plumbing supply store and match it up with a new trim kit.
This also exposes the valve stem for servicing.

I suspect it's similar to my Camelot. If there is a mirror on the wall in the dining area "behind" the shower, remove it and the back of the valve will be there.

Yes it is a single knob valve. This is the best information I was hoping to get as there is a big mirror on the wall on the backside. Thanks Dennis!
