Simple (?) battery question

I am replacing my house batteries (6 V), and am looking at two batteries...both have a 20 Ah rating of 225. However, one has a Reserve Capacity of 115 and one is 122. What does this mean to me???? Thanks for any clarification. Dick

Pick the one with the higher reserve capacity. My guess is that one will be taller then the 115 one.

Thanks Mike, but according to the spec sheet they are both the same, 11 7/16. Also the same in all other aspects. I always understood (probably incorrectly) that the only thing that mattered for a house battery was the 20 Ah capacity
.

The one with the 7 extra minutes of RC has a tiny bit more capacity.

It's just another way to measure capacity.

There is almost no difference in the two batteries. The reserve capacity rating means one can deliver 25 Amps for 115 minutes, and the other 25 amps for 122 minutes. the one doing the 122 minutes may have a tiny bit better plate connection, or maybe be a little bit heavier. My rule of thumb, FWIW, is buy the heavier battery, that usually means more lead on the plates, which can lead to better performance.

What is your usage? If little or no dry camping a bit of capacity more or less matters not much. Brand, cost, and life expectancy, are then prime considerations.
