On the Monaco website and in their brochures, they list the 2008 Diplomats at 41' 7". I could be wrong, but I think that the brochures and Monaco website list the 2007 at 40' 7".

I am really wondering if there is really a one foot difference between 2007 & 2008. Anyone???? Mama?? Sacs?? Robin?? Luke?? I believe you all have a 2007. I am curious about the Diplomat's true length in both 2007 & 2008.

Well Gypsies...you are halfway right. The online brochures (which are the same as the ones you would pick up at DeMartini RV...or any other Monaco dealer)state for 2008 the length is listed as 41'7" BUT the 2007 brochure does list the length as 40'11". (on pg 12 of 2007 brochure) Did they actually add 8 more inches...I am not sure...but I may call someone to see if they know....

MM

PS... your first post listed the 2007 as 20'7" ... I just had to fix it!

I don't know what the '08 Brochure says, but I agree with Mama on the '07 Brochure. Mine said 40'11", when I bought the coach. I've never actually measured it.

I did also double check and the 2008 brochure (pg 12also) does state 41'7"... hmmmm another 8"...what I could do with another 8 inches!

MM,

You probably couldn't do much with that 8". If the figure is correct, I suspect that the extra length is in the re-designed front and rear cap.

Speaking of the rear cap, Im curious as to whether they took care of the camera range problem on the '08's. GW, can you see the road behind your toad with the rear view camera?

Ours measures out to 41'4". I wonder if I got shorted 3"? The rear camera allows us to easily see over the toad and straight down to the tow bar.

Let's see... if it was in the bedroom...then I would have a King size bed instead of a Queen....
...If it was in the bathroom - then I would have a little more elbow room...
...if it was in the kitchen...then I might be able to fix a more appetizers & have a little more storage for my kitchen gadgets...
...in the living room... a little more room for a proper computer workstation...
...See there are many uses for 8" more! ... so there, ...Smarty Pants!

Robin,

I agree with "Our time"... We can definately see over our Ford Explorer toad with our camera. So it seems that Monaco has made adjustments and changes for the better between 2007 & 2008.

Mama, 8" seems substantial. Wonder if it is really true?? It could very possibly be in the front end re-design. Who knows?? Interesting that they still call it 40SFT when it is really approaching 42'.

Aloha,

Gee

Ok, so 8" inches isn't much, unless, as noted by MM, you know how to use it. So has anyone actually measured theirs? I'd measure mine except it's out of my hands right now so I can't put my hands on it, let alone measure it
