Size of Exhaust Pipe on 2000 Dynasty with ISC

I need to replace my muffler and part of the exhaust pipe pretty soon. I'd like to order the parts before I take it off the coach. Does anyone know the diameter of the stock system?

Thanks

Why you can't you measure the diameter of your exhust pipe without taking it off?

I did in a round about way, but it's not the same as putting the ruler across the open end of the pipe.

Hopefully you are going to replace it with a straight through design? This one is on my wish list. Aero Exhaust AT5050XL Diesel Muffler It's supposed to give you some decent MPG gains.

I've watched posts about the Aero unit for years. Most owners report that it's somewhat louder but not objectionable. I don't remember seeing anyone report a measurable increase in MPG or performance.

A ruler and and either of these are all you need.

I was just going off of the manufacturers info. They never lie, right?

Up to 15% to 20% Increases in Fuel Economy
5% to 7% Increase in Horsepower and Torque
Helps Lower Exhaust Gas Temperatures

I could live with a 15% increase of my 10MPG. It's only 1.5 MPG increase but it would pay for itself.

According to Bill D (RIP) of the Monacoers web site the correct Areo muffler to use on your ISC 350 or 8.3 is the 4 inch SL-4040 he installed one on his 94 Dynasty in around 2001 or 2.

I just purchased the parts yesterday and dropped them off at Cummins, which is where the coach is. It was a 4" outside diameter 90 degree elbow and a 3' section of 4" inside diameter flex pipe. Mine is a 2000 Windsor with a Cummins 330. Yours may be different.

Questioning too, a little louder but no one is jumping on the mpg band wagon?

Or a computer and member access to the iRV2 forums to post questions! Every question asked probably has a least one other person asking the same question to him/her self. Or at least I hope so if I ask a silly question here! -RT
