Skylight leak

It seems the water leak on our 2003 HR might be coming from the skylight over the shower in the bath. After all the rain we had yesterday, the void between the 2 skylight shells was almost full of water. We were able to get it out through the same hole it entered. I know we will have to clean the skylight flange removing old sealant and eternabond tape.

Since the skylight is a polycarbonate what type of sealant is safest to use without damaging the skylight. I have read some sealants containing petroleum products will cause the skylight plastic to degrade severely. So, I'm asking which sealant will do the job without damaging the skylight. I know it is advisable to then use eternabond tape to complete sealing off the skylight flange to prevent any more leaks.

Surebond is a good substitute for butyl tape since it butyl based.
