Slide carpet replacement 04 Diplomat.

Just replaced the sleep sofa with recliners and need to replace the carpet. Any ideas? Does Monaco still have replacements? Do I need to have a new piece cut and bound? Looking for info.

Just pull up your old carpet and take it to a carpet shop/store and they can cut you a replacement. No Monaco doesn't have replacement carpet. The factory didn't use pre cut carpet. The flooring was installed before the slides and cabinets. Bring the replacement carpet home and put it in using the original tack strips. Google carpet installation videos.

Video of how to do it yourself

Hi, Try this link to a you tube video of how to cut and bind a carpet, it looks very easy. I'm going to do this in a few weeks from now and I'll post pictures as I move forward on this project. Good Luck

Two things:
REAL sewn bindings are only a buck a foot...
Of the 6-7 recarpetings I've done or helped with, none had tack strips. All were stapled. Not to say that some mfg. didn't use tack strips, just haven't seen one. 4 Monacos in above number...

Well that just gave me another project. I have been wondering about that for a time. Looks easy enough.
