Hi, My 2001 Monaco Dynasty 36' 1 slide suffered damage to the metal frame surrounding the slide on the inside. What happened was the slide lock bars were in place at the front behind the Drivers seat one at the top, one at the bottom. A service Tech was doing some work and needed to open the slide. He removed the upper bar but neglected to remove the lower. He must have hit the switch and held it in causing the lower angle metal thst surrounds the slide behind the Fascia to buckle about an 2" inward pushing the Fascia inward cracking it and separating some wood joints. Additionally the rear of the slide near the sink where there was no bar must have tried to move out twisting the slide. About six tiles cracked as a result. The 2nd bar was then removed when he realized it. The slide was moved out. There is now some plastic particles near the broken tiles. The slide was moved in and out about 6-7 times to try and locate damage (we have not moved it after we noticed the shredding plastic (I assume from the wheels under the slide). There is now some grinding from the rear of the slide as it moves.
The bent metal (I think Aluminum) angle bar with the bubble seal will no longer seat flush against the outer wall.
The service facility has accepted responsibility and are trying to locate parts, I am trying as well.
Does anyone have any thoughts about where that metal angle bar may be found?
Does anyone know if that angle bar is one "U" shaped part or three separate parts?
Needless to say this is ruining our thoughts of further traveling west until it is repaired.
Any thoughts will be helpful.
thanks, Robert
