2005 HR Endeavor 4 slide. Recently discovered an issue with the left front slide. The underneath of the slide has a 1/4 inch laminated bottom, has started ripple and tear on the inside corners. I've contacted an RV tech here in Yuma who is qualified to work on slides. What was discovered is this model and year does not have rollers. Much to my and the techs surprise. The slide works on a beveled incline, moving over and under a laminated or covered plywood. The beveled incline lifts the slide up until a clearence is obtain, then the track and motorgears provide the push into the coach. This creates a weight bearing strees on the inside corners, causing a scraping or tearing action on the top portion of the slide. Has other owners HR experienced this same type of problem. Of course the best way to fix the problem would be to remove the slide and repair. In the meantime were exploring some other options. Any comments or solutions are welcome. Hope this explination is clear enough to
repond. Thanks

I have now sold it, but my 07 HR Endeavor had that issue. Factory tech installed an aluminum sheet on the bottom of the slide corner.

4" wide 1/4 inch aluminum sheet. Be sure to counter sink screws, AND bevel the leading edge that goes in first so it rides up and over so it does not jam. Alternately West Marine two part epoxy, kind of hard to work upside down, but can be laid on at perfect consistency.

I am having a similar issue on a 2007 Monaco diplomat 40sft with the full wall slide.

So as I understand the repair correctly.

1. 4" wide, 1/4 inch aluminum sheet ... wrap/bevel the aluminum on the interior side of the slide so as to not allow it to catch when the slide is actuated.

2. Counter sink screws (wood screws?)

3. Use the epoxy as well as the screws or instead of the screws?

Questions:

How did you raise the slide to insert the aluminum? My first inclination is to us a floor jack with 4x4s to raise the slide a couple inches to insert the aluminum?

Did you cut away the tearing slide material or just mount directly on top of the material?

Thanks for your help!

Rick

Plate goes on the bottom of the slide. If you just bump the slide as it starts to go in it will raise and you will have clearance. Flat head stainless screws about 1" will do the job.

Thanks for posting this information. I have the same issue on a 03 Dynasty Regal drivers side slide. I'll take a look at using this solution.
