Slide motor replacement
Looking for assistance, mounting bolts broke off on KMG gearbox/motor for slide on 97 HR Endeavor. New one was delivered today from KMG today. Does anyone know how to disconnect the transtorque bushing? Do you have to just loosen the locking nut or remove it. Also has anyone added an additional bracket on the motor side to help reinforce the gearbox? I found this Pic on another blog. Any help is appreciated trying to get the RV ready for the Talladega fall race.

Here is instructions to release the bushings you use a wrench,two, that looks like a tuning fork.
The bushing should release so the drive shaft can be turned only.

Sure looks like a copy of the Newmar system to me. Wonder if it's licensed by Newmar or Newmar's patent ran out?
