slide out storage removal

I have a 2004 monarch with Living room slide out storage , I would like to remove the storage box from the slide. It looks like it could be attached to the frame like so many other M.H.

I'm gonna guess that would be very difficult to do. Is there a reason you're wanting to change them? Anything can be done with enough time and money but I would think it would take lots of both.

I have very little "stuff" in the slide out ,lawn chairs is all.. the slide out moves in very slowly and I think there is too much weight for the slide motor....

Is it an electric or hydraulic powered slide? If electric, like one of mine it is pretty slow to begin with. Does it seem to be struggling or just slow? My guess if the slide is weak it would be cheaper to fix than trying to move the storage pods off the slide.

I'm sorry I can't help you with moving the storage. I'm just explaining what I think would prohibit doing it. Sounds like you need to speak with a chassis expert and get their opinion. Sorry I can't help further.
