Is there anything special I should be doing for the rubber seals to help preserve them and keep them from drying out? When I first got the coach there was some powder substance on it that looked like baby powder?

When the slides are out the seal flap should be out also. At least mine are.

Thanks for that information. Mine tend to want to pull in with the slide when it is being retracted. Guess I better lube the rubber or the sides of the slide. That may be the reason they have been straining lately.

To clarify mine are pulled outward when the slide is out but when I'm retracting the slide they point inward. So if yours pull inward towards the coach when retracting the slide I think they are going the right direction.

Thanks for the clarification. Sorry I can't help on your original post. Did not mean to hijack.

kketterling, slide seals will follow inward and outward movement of slide.
You can wax slide wall surface of slide to make this easier. As for baby power yes you can use it so they ride easier also there are products on market that dress seals also.
I would spray on seals and wipe it off.
Make sure the roof of slide is clean and you can wax there also will stop seal from tearing off surround framing.

When I bought my Sig, the tech told me to buy a can of silicone spray from an auto parts place and use that on the seals.
