Slide top adjustment (slope)

I know I have seen threads on replacing the slide topper mounts or cutting them down to add some tippage to the carefree slide toppers. anyone remember where to find the links Thanks

I think Drifter did the mod you`re asking about -- One thing you need to be aware of is, if you put to much slope on the topper, & when the slide is in, the metal cover can rub on the fabric while underway, cutting it -- Bill Willard

I moved my topper up the the rain gutter. Some rain gutters, like mine, have the topper slot. My topper can does have several plastic edge protectors that go the entire length of the can.
I still get some pooling because once the fabric gets stretched and forms a shallow pocket it stays that way. We just don't get a much pooling as before.

[QUOTE=l1v3fr33ord1;2825193]docsdock-

Here's the link (post #4) to Drifter's modification.

The link doesn't work on my phone using the irv2 app but works fine on the website. Found it that way.

On my list to be completed as well.

I'm in the process of lowering my toppers like drifter and others. Tops of the slides were nasty. Getting them clean while the toppers are off. Did any of you guys do anything about the fabric rubbing on the lip of the metal around the framework? Looks like with the new pitch may slightly rub. May only be a slight rub and no big deal. Just curious to what others thought. Thanks

Great idea, will need to get mine done as soon as I find that elusive "Round-Tuit".

What about moving the channel-strip (or adding another one) higher on the coach wall/roof to get even more slope? Not sure if it's the right name, but I'm meaning the strip that is used to capture the awning fabric and plastic tube to the sidewall.

I know there's a lot of stress from the awning pulling on that strip, and I don't know what's behind the wall/roof skins right at the radius, so it may not be feasible. Just wondering if anyone knows what's in there, and how strong it may be.
