Has anyone had more then their share of water leaks around the slides? Our 2006 Camelot (4-slide) PDQ has sure had them.
We are the second owner on this rig and it appears this has been going on for awhile. Makes me wonder if this is why the previous owner decided to sell. I'm surprised that I haven't seen any de-lamination of the paneling. But so far I haven't found any.
In any case the large street side slide had rain water leaking around the inside of the forward window. I pulled the inside window frame and it was seeping down inside the wall. Ends up on the inside part of the outer wall (top of the slide) there was a large opening (slot). I was able to get it sealed and got it stopped, but it makes me wonder how this could have happened in the first place. I also noticed there had been some aluminum welding done (after market), like part of the slide frame cracked or separated. This has been done at the top (both front and rear) of each of the four slides.
Then during another rain storm with the wind blowing, the bottom of the front curb side slide water came in soaking the carpet. Was able to fix that with some extra rubber seal.
Yet during another rain storm a few weeks later I noticed the curb side bedroom slide had water leaking around the bottom front corner. In this case so much water was running down the outside of the slide capillary action was causing quite a bit of water to come in under the bottom and inside soaking the carpet.
Knock on wood but so far the only slide that hasn't shown any signs of leaking is the street side bedroom slide. Boy, it makes me think these things are strictly designed for fair weather use only.
I'm just wondering if it's just my rig or if this is a problem with Monaco slide design?
