Sliding Storage Area Tray Rollers

Many of us have these sliding trays in our storage bays. Over time, the rubber type wheels wear out and the in/out movement becomes restricted. Unfortunately there aren't any labels with the manufacturer's info on them.

Does anyone know who manufactured these, still sells them and or who you're now buying the replacement rollers from?

Are yours electric? Mine are and they are Kwikee Power Superslide II. Lippert makes those wheels now. If these are what you need I should be able to dig up the part number.

Suprise!

I didn't save any old ones when I replaced them, I wish I would have. The outer coating is all that is wrong with them and there must be a place that could re-coat them.

I replaced mine. Expensive, but fortunately still available and better than replacing the slide.

"re-coat them" Hummmmmm… similar to truckers getting their tires retreaded.

Seems doable and I'd gladly pay $10 to $20 per wheel for retreading. I'm sure there's a lot of us out there that would.

But the party who would do this would need sets of these wheels to retread first. Then those wheels could be exchanged with the warn wheels.

Any takers??????

Mine quit working and moving the “Manual Release Lever” just allows it to move a few inches. With the plastic cover off of the unit you can see a spring attached to a lever. Overcome the spring to move that lever up with the Manual Release Lever raised up and the slide tray should move. My problem seems to be the Lock Release Motor Binds or Quits. I cleaned the commutator and Brushes and it works fine so far.

I have a bunch of manuals etc. for the Kwikee Power Superslide if you need any or all.

Like Ivylog I am interested in the process. I carry quite a load on one tray and the wheels are suffering. I help by giving it a push when I retract it.

I'm gonna tag along on this conversation. I ,also, have to give it a push to retract into the coach and it is getting worse. Brad could have quite a business here.
