Sliding window wool strip

On our sliding windows there is a strip on the edge of the slider that forms a seal between the 2 plates of glass. It is glued to the glass and looks like wool. The screens have a similar strip but look like a row of little whiskers.

The strip on the glass appears to be adhesive backed. This is the part that I need.

I’ve looked at Home Depot and all the rest – no luck. I went to several glass shops and RV supply shops – no luck there either. I’ve looked at several online RV window parts sites as well.

Part of the problem is that I don’t know the correct name of this strip which makes it difficult to ask for.

Any help with the name and where to buy an adhesive backed wool strip will be appreciated.

BTW & FWIW: the need for the new strip arose from getting the window repaired due to water in the double pane. I went with 2 thicker laminated panes instead of double pane as it will never leak and the insulative value is the same due to the tint material sandwiched between the 2 pieces of the glass. The problem is that the laminated panes are just a bit thinner than the old double pane was. Now I get wind noise with the window closed.

Amazon has a lot of that kind of thing, just search for felt insulation strips.
