Smart Wheel

2000 Windsor, My smart wheel does not work. The only thing that will work is wiper washer. nothing else works. I had to bypass wheel and rewire lights and wiper. I bought coach this way on repo yard. Someone said that somebody stole a module from dash but i don't know if this is so. Help WILKIE

Wilkie- Here are links to the VIP SmartWheel manual and the Troubleshooting Manual you may need, posted on Alpine Coach Association's Tech Library.
If it turns out somebody ripped off the "motherboard" unit, google RV Salvage & see if you can get one out of a wrecker for economy; you won't get any warranty that way fo course. Alternatively, VIP may have reconditioned units for sale.
Hope this helps, Mike

Ummmm.... Northwest RV Supply has a very large supply of Smart Wheel stuff at a very cheap price. Call Joe and told him MonacoMama said he better treat you right!

Before You do that though... take a look at this website directly at SmartWheel. It will give you photos of the three most commonly used wheels and controllers.

Wilkie you master controller is a SM209 it plugs in in the fuse bay under the driver if you dont have a wiring diagram for your coach e mail me and I will ether coppy that section or give you my ph # and talk you through it after you get your controler, and MM is correct North West RV supply is your best bet if he does not have one I do have a spare SM 250 for $40 + ship.
One thing I almost forgot is the little black clip goes on the A pins ( there is A,B, & C pins) on the controler for the 2000 Monaco coaches.

Walter, I do thank you and every one else from the bottom of my heart for ya'lls reply. Here is what i found out ,the coach has a mother board and it seems to work. I was missing a DRL module and bought one from Hamsar. When it came in it had eight different colored wires, the only problem is the Monaco has numbered wires i don,t know where they go. If i had a Monaco wiring diagram i think i could fix it. At this point i would just like to get my cruise to work. Thanks Wilkie

What I think you should do is get your Monaco coach # it will be a 21 diget # you will need the last 6 digets and call Monaco tec service at 877-466-6226 and ask for tec service ask the tec to fax or send you the wiring diagram , I dont think my Dynasty wiring diagram will help you for that.
