I'm getting ready to install a Air Force One brake system on our 2001 Dyansty. The question I have is about the air lines on the rear brakes and ID'ing the right ones. Has anyone installed this system and could you help in ID'ing the right lines.

Thanks,
Bob

Bob.....I installed mine and I think your question may be which line to hook in to. When under the coach, one set of air lines is for the parking brakes and the other is for the individual rear brakes. It's late and I can't go look, but I recall that it was easy to reason out by looking at the distribution block for the lines. I think the parking lines were obvious. You use the other.

Bob, if you don't already have a 1/4" quick connect air line ' T ', be sure and get one. That is how you connect to the coach. If you have never disconnected an air line, they are press fit into the connector. Use a small wrench fitted around the air line and press toward the fitting HARD and then star gently wiggling the air line to remove it.

A suggestion if you are doing the install.

My SMI was installed with semi-rigid plastic type air lines. I do not like this stuff and have seen it fail or get kinked or cut by a number of ways.

I replaced all of my lines of the "plastic" type with rubber hose rated for the purpose. The rubber is more flexible and less likely to get damaged. This includes the hose used to connect the coach to the TOAD.

Just a thought for a better install.
