You’re absolutely correct. In attempting to install a new switch that lights when the circuit is activated, I grounded out a wire causing an arc. I figured it blew fuse #51. It did! I changed the 5 amp and put the old switch back after testing it. It bench tested fine, except it won’t light up when in the on position. That’s ok for now, cause tonight, up here in the Sierra the outside temp dropped below 35. I have two remote temperature gauages in the house to monitor water bay temp and coach living room temp. I saw the water bay temp climb up to 65 and went outside and looked at my snap disc heater. It was glowing red and the fan was blowing. The pilot light next to the system heat switch was light red. All good. Now I just need to figure out which wire on the three position is ground. Center wire is red and on one side is blue the other side is white. I’m guessing blue is ground. The white wire, I think lights up the light in the switch. I’m trying to use the new three position switches I got on Amazon. Which are clearly marked, so far I haven’t got them to work by guessing wire position. That’s how I blew the fuse. If you have any ideas let me know.
