Solar Charge Controller Help

I believe I need a New Solar Charge Controller on my 2001 Dynasty. The current one is the RV- 30D Heliotrope with another # 93113 on the panel. With this system my OEM Interstate batteries lasted 12 years before I replaced them although they were still working.
A few years ago I had a problem with cold solder joints on the board or just broken solder joints. I was able to remove the unit and re-solder the board. At that time the symptoms were no display and no charging. When I banged on on the wall next to the panel the display worked. When I pulled the panel out the loose solder joints were apparent.
It might be time for either a rebuilt board or a new one. Heliotrope in Oregon is out of business (original Manufacturer ) Does anyone know of a replacement? Is there anyone who rebuilds these? With all the Solar Electric Panels used today there should be someone with 15 year newer Technology, does anyone know of a company?
Since I store my MH in a Storage Yard with no electric, my only options would be to remove the Batteries when in storage or start everything up every couple of weeks to charge for a couple of hours. Not a happy thought.
Thanks for any help or advice.
Lew

I have a used rv30d. I replaced mine with AM Solar 3000i.

If you get the 3000i you will need the face plate to fit the old hole.

Do you turn off the master switches for house and chassis batteries when in storage? The batteries should not need charging in two weeks with the switches turned off.

Thanks for the response. I have always turned the masters off when in storage. The yard is not too close to me so it is a dedicated trip. If I am away etc I just don't want to have a problem.
I was told when I first bought this unit by a Tech where I bought it to turn off the masters as a security/ safety matter.

I don't turn any switches off but I'm plugged in to 50 Amp in storage. I only have one solar panel.
In the past I didn't like the high charge voltage (only one panel though) on the chassis battery from the Rv 30d so I pulled the fuse on that battery feed. Then I changed my rv30d for the AM Solar 3000i.
I just did the swap and have not studied the charge voltage yet with the 3000i.

For an easy fix/swap you may consider trying to find one like you have at a salvage yard. I have the same controller and it has never caused me any problems (Knock on Wood).

Heliorope RV-30D Solar Controller

Does anyone else have a Heliotrope RV-30D Solar Controller available who is willing to sell it?
We are leaving shortly and I don't know if I will have the time to install or troubleshoot a new installation on a Different type.
If not does anyone know if the RV-30D are troublesome units? Would one from a Salvage yard (if I can find one) a reasonable replacement to take a chance with?
thanks

Check with Dave at AM Solar. I believe he told me he designed the Heliotrope controllers. He probably will have a used one oh hand.

Try contacting Visione Auto Mart in KY, they have lots of salvage RV's including Monaco's.

Your solar controller was commonly used, I would be they would have one. They might give you a deal on the controller and the 85 watt solar panel.
