When we did the PDI on our new 08 Endeavor 40PDQ the guy showed me the wires in the battery compartment which he said were from the roof where you can attach a solar panel. Does anyone know where I would find the connections on the roof? He said it was marked but I went up the ladder and saw nothing.

Mine terminate on a block that is under the fridge vent on the roof. I would look there...very easy.

Unfortunatly the 40PDQ has the fridge in the slide and two side vents so nothing on the roof.

My 40PDQ has a spot on the roof above the bedroom on the drivers side. There is a small decal about the wires stowed in that area. About the only way to find the wires if it isn't marked is with a wire signal tracer. Most auto shops should have one.

Good Luck

Dennis

My 40 PDQ (a year earlier than either of you guys) has a decal taped down in about the same area. On mine, it appears to be roughly above the bedroom ceiling fluorescent light that is closest to the bedroom headboard slide. If you have the same light, you might try pulling that down and looking behind it to see if you can see the wires. If so, drill a small hole up from that location, and that will let you see where you need to drill the larger hole on the roof.

I'm referring to the light you can see reflected in the closet door in the attached pic.

It seems to me that would be about the correct location for my sticker also.

Thanks guys. I will try pulling the light to check for wires I sure don't want to put any more holes in my roof than is necessary.

Today I removed the light in the bedroom and the wires we right there. I was able to drill a hole from the inside so it only had to be big enough to fit the wires through. Installed a 45 watt solar panel. Should be enough to keep the batteries up while unplugged and in storage. Thanks to everyone for the suggestions.
