+1 Jim great to work with. Mine arrived Sat afternoon and I installed on Sunday. Hardest part was getting bolts to turn loose even with a 1/2" breaker bar. I should have worn long sleeves, my forearms are pretty abraded from reaching around fan. One tip that I came across by accident I got tired of fighting the black dust all over the engine and fan so I hosed things off with the garden hose and as it turned out I guess the belt was still wet because I could turn fan to better reach the other bolts. Also noteworthy you can mount on either side so make sure it's mounted correctly. Not sure how best to describe, perhaps someone can post pic.
Also was a good time to give engine a good look over, I found a turbo flange stud that was loose.
Noise alone is worth the cost/effort. I'm sure neighbors and fellow campground people will be appreciative at early departures.
Temp seemed to be same or less at 70mph without trailer in tow. Will know more in a couple weeks on next trip.
Any market for the old fan before I recycle the box?

Good reminder about making sure the fan is turned the correct way. I marked my old and new one with a sharpie.
If you go back a page on this thread you can see pictures of my install. Take the MH out of the Economy mode with the new fan on and press the pedal to the floor. You will be impressed just how much quicker it is. I should have taken some measurement for fun.

I had the fan installed along with the REK 203 ride enhancement kit ; The fan does what the say low noise ,increased horsepower. I towed my 5500#wrangler from sea level to 8000Ft (30 miles) was able to keep up with traffic no increase in temp(90dg day). I did not check mileage

I,m Happy
HR Neptune 09, 35SBD, 340 cummins, 6 speed allison
I had the fan installed and from the 1st drive I am very happy with it. The is a nice power increase and the niose level is significantly lower. If I was to buy another motor home I would the fan would be a must.

sorry for the mess above I was interrupted and did something clever withthe computer. - The extra power is really nice, in economy it rarely drops to 5th. Acceleration is nice and continuous as is greatly improved hill climbing
- Noise is reduced, when driving for the 1st time I did not realize my drivers window was open until I felt the hot air coming in.
- Mileage gain is a tough one due to the fact that I seldom use the same place/pump consistently. Depending on terrain and fill up conditions it varies from 8.5 to 11mpg. With the big tank surface it is hard to be accurate on amount of fuel pumped
- I have not noticed any temperature issues
Cost was 550 + installation. I would recommend it, it made a big difference to my driving comfort and overall performance.

I had mine installed @ Berryessa RV / Sturken automotive. Steve Sturken is the contact (408) 891-5710. It took 4 hours and he was able to do ti through the access panel under the bed. I would love to know where you have service work done, I am disenchanted with most of the RV service in our area with the exception of Berryessa above. Please contact me @ boyle908@comcast.net and lets chat

I'm going to recirculate this old post. I bought my fan about three weeks ago and would have normally installed it the day it arrived, but we' started remodeling our kitchen and I've been doing all of the demo and prep for cabinets and countertops. I've only been retired since July and I feel like I need to go back to work for a rest.
I installed the fan today through the rear engine hatch, the same as others. Several months ago I had to R&R the radiator and CAC and I removed the fan to clean and replace the belt. I thought the bolts would be easier to get off this time.....WRONG. What I was able to do, was use my 1/2" drive impact to remove the bolts. There's plenty of space for the large air gun between the fan and radiator. I loosened all four (16mm) bolts and then removed just three because the serpentine belt pulley started to move and come off. I used a 3/8" drive socket set (smaller = easier to handle) to tighten the one bolt to make the pulley sit flat. I then carefully removed the one bolt and removed the fan. Placed the new one on and inserted the bolts.
It took me longer to remove the closet doors than it did the fan. Like I said....this is old news, but for those thinking about doing it yourself and you have air tools, its a snap.
I haven't driven it yet, but sure is QUIET. Now you can hear all of the engine sounds....rattle bucket!

I've been meaning to comment on the Source Products also. I had the Ride Enhancement Kit and Fan installed at Iron Horse RV in San Antonio. (Great service facility). I checked the mileage from Ft. Worth to S.A. and then from S.A. back to Ft Worth and picked up .7 MPG. As mentioned before the noise level is greatly reduced and power is enhanced also. Totally satisfied with product and installation.
The Ride Enhancement Kit is another subject, however, money well spent.

Post some pictures of the bedroom access. On my 08 Endeavor 40skq I removed the closet doors and bottom rail. That gave me access to another section of the engine cover that was totally disguised. Be very careful taking off the old fan because you can knock the pulley off and have to put the fan belt back on. The second you get the fan loose get a bolt back in and snug it down so it reseats the pulley. Also note the fan direction because the fan could be put on backwards.

Just received my "FAN" to day from Source. It comes in a BIG box. I haven't opened up the box yet, and just wonder if this fan will be able to fit from inside the MH to the engine. I know where the engine opening is in front of the rear closet in the Monaco Cayman 2011, but not sure if there is another one in the closet. Hope the install can be done from inside instead of having to remove the rear units to get to the OEM fan. Monday I will take a ride over to the MH and do some "detective" work to see what this project entails. Anyone here have a Monaco Knight or Cayman 36 foot with a large wall slide on driver's side? Time to go to sleep as I have to get up early to SMOKE the 21 lb bird.
