Speedco MH Upcharge

I just had our coach annual service done at Speedco Las Vegas. The bill included a $70 Motorhome Service Charge. I screamed bloody murder and they grumbled some, but deleted it because they hadn't told me about it before they started.

This charge supposedly went into effect system wide in June. It certainly wasn't being added last year when I had the same service done at the same place. They also added a flat charge of $30 for Fleetguard filters that wasn't charged last year.

The RV charge notwithstanding, the service cost this year was roughly 10% higher despite doing less. They screwed up the generator fuel filter last year so I didn't allow them to touch it this time.

I have used Speedco for years but I think I'll check around before next year. Too bad, because that location is right on our annual migration path.

Cheers,

Good to know, will check on charge before my next service, at $70 dollars they will lose business, I won't go back.

Not a Loves's fan at all so not surprised they would screw up a good company like Speedco. Just checked the website and they no longer list RV services or prices. A link that just says check each local shop.

Better call ahead or be prepared for a surprise. Looks like I'll be doing my own again this year.

I read a post that said Speedco no longer has standardized prices and each location sets prices on their own. So beware, the pricing at the next Speedco may be different from the last one.

I saw Loves had purchased Speedco and was concerned they might screw things up.
Another great company bites the dust.

I was dinged this past June in regard to the motor home upcharge. The service advisor informed me before the work began and I went with it.

I’m looking for a suitable alternative.

My biggest issue is dealing with all the used oil(isx15) not disposal but containment. Otherwise servicing is an easy home job.

get a big shallow tub from Tractor supply. Biggest PITA is storing it after use.

Speedco MH Upcharge

In light of the typically outrageous fees by all of the other places I’ve been or priced-out, I can’t complain about an extra 70 bucks from Speedco. Their quality and efficiency is superb.

Used to use Speedco in Casa Grande AZ most every year when we travel that way. Good service. Well priced.

Found a good mobile guy last year, so hopefully wont need to endure any Speedco changes.

I just had our service done at Speedco in GA. After the service the lady said she was supposed to charge an extra $70 for a motorhome, but didn't. Never mentioned it when I pulled in either, so all in all it was the same price as the previous 2 years, but since Loves has taken over you can sure feel the "not welcome" vibes. But IMHO still way cheaper than going to Cummins, Cat, or in my case Detroit for an oil change, and much more convenient.

The rest of the chincy chump change folks may please politely go pound sand!
Was that comment really necessary?

I am hoping someone does not buy out Blue Beacon Truck Wash and send it down the same road. The times we have used them they were RV friendly. I usually wash my own coach but when on the road that is not always practical.
