Splicing Battery Temp Sensor

I ordered New Battery Temp Sensor, They sent Me a 25 footer which is not long enough, Is It possible to Cut Old One & New One in Two & splice them together?

If this is a Xantrex prosine or one like it you can extend it using standard modular telephone cords and couplers.

Splice it the same way.. Use modular telephone connectors.

Or, like a telephone, a barrier terminal strip. or a punch down block.
