Squeaky suspension bushings

Hello fellow RVers; I have a 2002 40' Monaco Windsor that suddenly developed,(in the dry Arizona desert), squeaky suspension bushings. it occurs when driving at highway speeds on a roller coaster type bump on the road. My rig has 85,000 miles on it and the alignment is perfect, no uneven wear on the tires, no shimmy or any handling problems of any kind. In fact my Michelen XE2+ tires had 19/32 of an inch of tread new and have only worn 1/32" in 7000 miles. SO I don't think the bushings in the Roadmaster suspension are worn out, I am thinking that they just need some type of lubricant. Does this sound familiar to anybody? Anyone have some ideas? I know I can't use any petroleum base lubricants due to the adverse impact it would have with the rubber. Thanks, Mike

Hi Mike,

I had a similar issue on my car a two or three months ago and came across this forum post (kept it in my favorites ever since) - TheSamba.com :: View topic - Best suspension lubricant? worth a read and may be the answer you are looking for? I have not yet found a UK equivalent but stopped looking when the weather turned bad here the squeak stopped, will worry about it again when/if it reoccurs.

Cheers

Try brake fluid as a lubricant for those bushings.
