This trailer was manufactured in 1999 by Sport Trailers of Paxton, Nebraska. They are no longer in business. Extremely hard to find but occasionally you can get lucky and locate a decent used one for sale.
I purchased this trailer used in fair condition for $8500. Invested about $17K in upgrades, modifications, and accessories. Took it to a welding fabrication shop for some wanted upgrades and modifications. Then the trailer was sand blasted and black powder coated. Trailer was rewired for towing with new LED lights, battery charger, break away switch etc. Upgraded and serviced the hydraulic system, cylinder, wire rope, cables, pulleys etc. all were replaced and lubricated. Added new rubber and customs rims all around. Looks great and works fantastic. Im constantly being asked questions about it and get lots of compliments.
When I arrive to my destination I off load my truck and ATV. I lower the upper deck. I hook up my truck to the trailer for towing to launch and recover boat. Currently the upper deck is configured for my 18 Ranger Bass Boat. Launch and recover the boat with ease. The uprights help guide boat onto trailer during recovery. The upper deck in the lowered position is about 3 higher than when its original Ranger Trail Trailer. Plus, the upper deck can be easily converted to flat deck in order to carry other toys or cargo. Upper deck is raised hydraulically and secured in place with safety lock pins. Lower deck is then loaded. Left fender can be pivoted for clearance to open vehicle drivers door if needed. My truck height is enough that I dont need to pivot the fender to get in and out of the truck. Heavy duty high visibility straps are used to secure truck and ATV to d-ring tie down points.
Completely loaded trailer with boat, boat equipment, truck, and ATV and full fuel tanks weighs in at 12,250 lbs. Just a few pounds over the 12K maximum but within safety tolerances.
Trailer Brochure:
The Built-Rite Trailer is powered by a 12-volt hydraulic system which raises and lowers the top deck of the trailer. The top deck can accommodate a boat, PWCs, ATVs, motorcycles, etc. while the lower deck can house an automobile, truck, SUV, boat, PWCs, ATVs, motorcycles, etc. Ramps are provided to assist with loading and unloading. With the top deck in the down position, cargo can be loaded. Using the hydraulic system, this deck is raised and locked into place, then the lower deck is ready to be loaded.
