Hi all
2 days ago my steps worked perfectly now the are not coming out. I checked the 20amp fuse in the panel in the frond bay. What else should I check. Ar there any other fuses? Need to get this fixed quick.
Thx

Check the wiring to the magnetic switch to make sure it is not shorted, which would make the step control think the door is closed

Here is a manual that should help. Looks like more than one fuse in some cases.

I measured voltage at the 4pin connector that goes to the Control box. I had voltage on all 4 pins. I supplied 12V directly to the motor and nothing moved. At this point I think the motor is blown. When I put all the connectors back together the step started to work. So I have no idea what is going on. A bad connection is possible but I powered the motor directly and nothing worked.
I still have 2 month extended warranty. I never used them so time for them to pay for something.

Good chance you wiggled a ground. Check those and make sure they are clean and tighten them after cleaning.

I'm with YC1, you have a bad ground. The self-drilling screws Monaco uses to put everything together don't make a good ground connection. I drilled and tapped a hole for a 1/4-20 screw in my steps for the ground. Used a stainless steel screw and lots of No-Ox to prevent future corrosion. Our steps have worked reliably ever since.

"I supplied 12V directly to the motor and nothing moved."
Even the warranty-performing guys will not know what to do when the steps are working. On my rig, I found (through deduction, actually) that the motor armature has a dead spot. My steps retract reliably, but sometimes fail to deploy. Until the blasted summer heat retreats so that I can replace the motor, I've found that a soft whack on the motor with the end of a looooong screwdriver works fine.

Had a similar problem with my step. Turned out to be a sticking magnetic switch. A simple tap on the switch and the step would deploy and function normally.

I had the same problem finally disconnected the electrical connector at the back of the steps and they have worked fine since. Most likely not making good contact. It's an easy try for a fix.
