The dash shows STEP OUT lit
My steps are not out and i have no problems
Checked all the fuses by the drivers side front wheel
This is just an annoyance but i would like to fix it

Where may i look further?

Check your switch and connections and take a look at this thread. Do a search for "step switch" and you will get a lot of information. Electric Steps Quit Working

The light on the dash that shows your steps are out is turned on by a switch mounted on the steps. There may be a magnet missing from the movable part of your step that comes close to the switch to cause it to operate.
