On my Daybreak the salesman switch disconnects the batteries from the convertor/charger. The 12V systems in the coach are still all on and powered by the converter.
Different ways to wire them I guess. I just wanted the OP to be sure he wasn't being fooled.

My 'salesman switch' works whether I am plugged into shore power or not. It only connects and disconnects the 12 volts to the lighting and accessories. Nothing magical about it at all.

It would be a incorrect electrical design to disconnect a powered converter from its load plus it would require extra wiring. Somehow I don't believe that is true. Regardless if it is true or not why would we want to confuse the OP on how a non Monaco is wired.

Off chance the contacts in the new solenoid welded themselves together, either before installed or on initial energizing of the coil. Happens occasionally.

Well guys being a women and in too much of a hurry to get it fixed, I went out and looked at it again. I did miss the little wire that wraps around the one stud. It works perfect now. Thanks for all the input.

Tompen, It appears you had the answer to begin with when you mentioned there was only one wire instead of two.

That little wire from the back of the fuse socket would be easy to miss. Good job kerrbe.
