Hi Mike

I think you are right. There is a Goodyear commercial service on our route. I'll stop there on Wednesday and see what they say and replace the tire.
Thanks for your time.
Rick.

Rick, sounds like possible broken belt in the tread causing that particular tread to bulge out farther and wear down faster. This is a guess on my part but if that's the case i would want that tire off ASAP. Good luck and happy new year. Chad

Hi Chad.

I never thought of that. The nearest place is 50 miles away that can do the work. I'm heading there on Wednesday. I agree it has to be changed ASAP. I'll just drive slow.
Thanks
HAPPY NEW YEAR

It is not natural, but just remember to apply the accelerator first if the thread comes off. After you get control then slow down. I sure hope I will remember this if it ever happens to me. Just Friday near Ocala there was a motorhome accident because a front tire failed. We are here at 1000 Trails Orlando but got here on Thursday and did not get caught up in the huge backup.

Hi Bob.

Thank you for the advise. I didn't know that, but I will remember it tomorrow on my way there.
What is Orlando 1000 trails? Sounds like fun.
Happy New Year

Rivering. Had the same thing on my 2008 Knight. Took the front off at 30000 miles and replaced them. Did not go,with Goodyear.

Hi Steve.

I bought the MH in May with brand new Goodyear tires on it. They are dated 2011. They only have 12k miles. I didn't expect tire problems so soon. My next set will not be Goodyear.
Happy New Year
Rick.

Rick, we are memberes of 1000 Trails. They have campgrounds at various locations in the US. Here is a link to the Orlando site:

Good luck,

If you look at the Michelin "The Usual Suspects" poster, the condition of the tire in the photo is closest to the "Depression Wear" description.

They suggest that it can be alignment problem, incorrect inflation, or a miss-mount, and they suggest rotating the tire. If you have a good drive axle tire you can move one of them.

Hi Distaff

I bought a new tire to replace that one. Safety first. When I return from this trip I will have the alignment checked and the height checked. Hopefully it will be corrected so this problem will end.
Thanks for your post
Rick

While on your trip, IF you are in Florida, get the alignment done at Josam in Orlando. Best place in the USA for that job.

Josam Truck Frame & Alignment
8849 Exchange Dr
Orlando, FL 32809
407-438-7020
Josam - Truck Frame and Alignment Specialist Worldwide

I have no affiliation with Josam, just love their work

x's 2 on Josams. They have a great shop. Also it is easy to get there from I-4 southbound. (about 6 miles from exit 72)

Take I-4 to exit 72 to merge onto FL-528 E toward International Airport/Cape Canaveral (toll) 4.4 mi

6. Take exit 4 toward US-17/US-92/US-441/Florida's Turnpike 0.3 mi

7. Merge onto Consulate Dr 0.4 mi

8. Turn left onto FL-500 W/FL-600 E/US-17 N/US-441 N/US-92 E/S Orange Blossom Trail 0.5 mi

9. Turn left onto Co Rd 527A/W Landstreet Rd 0.3 mi

10. Continue onto Exchange Dr Destination on your right.

Thank you very much. I heard of them. I live only an hour from Orlando. I'll call them for an appointment when I get closer to FL.
I want to get if right before my 8 month trip out west.
Happy new year
Rick
