Strange Tire Wear....

After 24K miles on our 09 Beaver Contessa 42 I notice that the driver side rear dual tires have worn down to the wear indicator. Tag wheel on that side is fine and looks to have the same amount of wear as all other tires. The only ones really showing wear are the driver side duals.

I'd think that if loading was the issue I'd see wear on the tag wheel and even the driver's front.

Any ideas? Alignment? I had the front alignment checked and it was spot-on.

Have you verified that the tires on both sides of the drive axle are the same size. Also when you had the front end alighnment checked did you do a rear alignment check also?

? Is the wear down to the min wear indicator even? same depth across the tread?

? Does the tire tread have sharp edges on one side and rounded off on the other?

Sorry for the delayed response - been away.

All 8 tires are the same size. The tread grooves on the DS rear duals are evenly worn down to the wear indicators. Same depth across the tread.

No cupping, rounded or sharp edges that I can see on either the inside or outside dual tire.

I did not have the rear alignment checked when I did the front.
