Wife has caught a nasty flu and is laid up. They say if she dont get over it in five days than she will have to be put in the hospital. It seems this is a bad strain they had not shot for this year and its going around and kicking peoples butts. So until she gets on her feet and we can get her into other dr appts we came here for we are stuck in the cold and snow. Say a prayer for her if you happen to read this. Thanks.

Lee and Fran,
Done.
I'm getting over a week long bout with this stuff myself and it's not fun. I've never had a case that actually went to my lungs before. I'm still feeling the effects of it.
I didn't even feel like posting my usual two cents worth on irv2! It will get better Fran. It just takes longer.

Right after we left Quartzite, we went to visit some friends in Yuma...Gloria got that flu while there, so we came home, and she spent over a week in bed, VERY sick! So I understand what your all talking about. Luckily, I didn't get it (it must be thinking clean thoughts )...but several of our friends also got it. So much for our flu shots!!
Wishing you a speedy recovery!!!!

Even with a flu shot this year I hear that there are strains of the flu out there that it doesn't work on. Good luck to all of you and keep the chicken soup going down. Our prayers are with you. PS: Remember wash hands, wash again.

MTManLee,
We will definitely say a prayer for Fran's recovery.
I can relate. My wife is a RN and probably picked up the bug at work. It got into her lungs also and she has been really sick for a week now eventhough they have her on antibiotics and steriods for the airway inflammation. This one is a nasty strain.

Lee...
We are all pulling for Fran's speedy recovery. I had heard about a strain that was tough to get rid of... but gosh... I had no idea so many of our own iRV2 folks have been hit with this...
Prayers and thoughts to all of you who are down with this...

After I post this the other day I went down with a stomach flu. Laid up in bed till about noon today. I am glad to be on my feet. Some neighbors came by and took care of both of us. Talk to the local postal clerk today and she said she had same strain my wife has and she got laid up for a month and both her kids had the stomach flu I had and were down for around five days. I am still queezy but feeling better. The worst part was the heaves were both fluid and dry and cause muscle strain in my chest to the point it feels as if my ribs are being squeezed by a giant hand. The wife is also feeling well enough to be up but only for a few hours at a time.

Lee,
Are the two of you living in the coach during all of this. If so, that can't be fun.
Wishing you BOTH a speedy recovery.
