We have a question about two lights in our 04 Monaco Diplomat road side front slide. These lights are located on the ceiling part of the slide and are just like the main ceiling lights that go down the center of the coach. They have switchs on the end of the light just like the main ceiling lights but I can't get them to come on, is there a main switch for them? My wife and I have looked all over the side wall of the coach and can't find a switch any where, can somone help? Thanks CT

I've got those same lights. The rocker-switch on the fixture is the only controlling method.

Due to fixture age, I'd spring for a new bulb-pair as an easy test. If that doesn't do it, I'd troubleshoot by determining if 12VDC is available, continuously, at the fixture. It should be there.

My guess is that these two fixtures do not have their own fuze, so the 12v source (or a good ground) is what you're lacking...if new bulbs didn't fix the problem.

Thanks Robi, we're camping in WV and we just realized the lights were there, only had the coach a short time and we are just getting to learn all the ins and out about it. Thanks for your help. CT

You've got a single-bulb reading light above the driver's left shoulder. Took me 3 years to figure out that this bulb is controlled by the head-lamp switch on the dash!!
