John, they're kind of like a topple bolt. Once you push them through the hole, an arm at the top and bottom pop out and hold it in place. You have to squeeze them closed to pull the switch. Depending on which panel it's in, it might be easier to undo the panel and access the back of the switch. I also learned that my panels that had open area where another switch could be added if needed, had the switch hole partially cut out on the back side of the panel. If you need to add another switch, you can remove the panel and finish cutting the hole through.
