Tag axle raise....

Is there suppose to be a warning buzzer or something to indicate when the tag axle is raised? I activate the switch, which lights up but no sound.

The book says if you try to start the coach with the tag raised, an alarm will sound, but it doesn't say if it will do that when you first push the switch with the engine already running.
Just curious, thanks, Iver.

My 2001 Dynasty does have a signal....

I own a 2001 Dynasty tag and there is an intermittent beep (like one gets with the right or left turn signals on for more than ~ 5 seconds) when the tag axle is raised. That beep continues until the tag is lowered again. That beep is also the same warning beep that I get as soon as I shift into reverse. Are you getting the other two beeps series that I mention: 1.) long turn signals, 2) reverse transmission? If not, then I would guess that the whole signal system may be failing. The switch also lights up as soon as I active the tag switch. Hope that helps.

Gary

On our Beaver Patriot the switch lights up and the ring, ring, ring bell goes off and stays on until I switch the tag back. The bell is a good thing to have as I did hit the switch once while running down the road.

On my Beaver Contessa I have the intermittent beep when the tag axle is raised. My tag axle is automatic. If my speed is lower then 5 miles per hour then the tag axle raises. Once I achieve 10 miles per hour the tag axle drops. The tag switch will blink on mine to show its in the up position, then has a steady green when the tag axle is down. I hope this helps.

I'll check it again. The turn signal bell activates and the reverse/backup alarm activates normally.
Now if I recall, the signal light bell stops when you have your service brakes on. (when waiting at an intersection so it doesn't drive you nuts).
I was only testing the tag with the park brake on so maybe the alarm will activate only when moving?
Thanks, Iver.

My tag down is down and if you press button it will lift and at 10 mph then it beeps and comes down no matter what you had in mind...... I very seldom lift mine and only when in tight turning and I dont want to mess up ground or blacktop making a tight turn....

We have a 2001 Executive and our tag axle works as Gary.Jones describes it.

Perhaps the previous owner of your Monaco did as the previous owner of ours did, i.e., disconnect the buzzer.
