Anyone have any experience with the holding tank vent small electric exhaust fan called the Lil Stanker. It sounds like what we need to keep the DW happy about the odor from the black tank. This rig does not have an electric toilet like our last rig so as most of you know, when you step on the pedal to flush you may get a pretty strong odor from the thank, particularly if you have the bathroom vent fan running. The advertisement for this fan seems to be just what we need, keeps a slight negative pressure on the tank so odor goes out the stack not into the bathroom. Any feedback would be appreciated - of all varieties, installation, longevity, purchasing, etc. Thanks.

Lew

Lew, Yes I did. I went in and out of service with that device within a year; about 4 years ago. I now use a device that is essentially a venturi and spins around on the end of my roof exhaust pipe. Works great all the time and requires no power. Don't bother with lil'stanker.

lew, i liked the lil stanker idea so much ,i made my own using a little muffin fan, with a switch in the side of the closest roof vent that i can turn it on and off. its not as good as the stanker unit but it does work nice and it is more reliable then waiting for a breeze to extract the fumes. i turn it on whenever we're out in the mh.
