Greetings to everyone and thanks for making me welcome to the forum.

I have an urgent and specific issue that is really putting a cramp in my travel plans.

Six weeks ago I took my coach into a local dealer to get some minor fiberglass repair and paint work done and also some routine maintenance. All went well until it came to the requested alignment. When it got to the heavy duty alignment team the report came back that I had a broken stabilizer bar and the coach was unsafe to drive since the only thing holding me on the road was my air bag. OK... so please replace the stabilizer bar and let's get this show on the road. HICCUP... no one at Monaco or at Magnum can seem to identify the part. In spite of numerous number swaps, photo swaps, detailed perusal of the original manuals, all of which I have, and much fussing and probably some cussing I am no nearer to having my coach back on the road.

Is there anywhere reliable where I can turn or assistance? I have VIN, Model of Coach and all the other pertinent info. I just need a stabilizer bar.

Thanks in advance,

Phil

It sounds like you may be getting taken for a ride....not a Velvet one either. Magnums with Velvet Ride did not have air bags. Velvet ride is a torsolastic rubber and spring system. Give these guys a call they speacilaize in early Safaris RV and Truck Parts and Service - Henderson's Line-Up

Tons of info. We had a 99 Safari, ran it 155K great miles. There is a lot of help and info out there for your coach.

Safari

From the deep dark reaches of the Monaco archives. It apears the SMC 2001 and before have been deleted. The specs appear the same as 2001 as far as my memory serves. The SafariInteranational.org owners group/club has some great info on the earlier all-Safari units if you go back through the newsletters. They were solid coaches with a super owners group and fantastic Rallys in the day...hope you get yours fixed up.
